Senior Lead, Pharmacy Operations (Claims and Patient Outreach) (Chesterfield,MO) Location: Chesterfield, MO — Fully onsite role, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

Team Management & Development

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Insurance Verification and Patient Outreach Specialists to ensure top-tier care for patients and clients.

Coordinate workload distribution and monitor productivity within and across teams to meet performance metrics.

Drive hiring efforts to select qualified candidates who align with company culture and standards.

Oversee onboarding to equip agents with necessary tools, knowledge, and resources.

Conduct regular performance evaluations with constructive feedback and development plans.

Address underperformance through coaching, improvement plans, or termination where necessary.

Operational Excellence

Use data to assess team performance and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and meet goals.

Monitor workflow queues to ensure timely and accurate task resolution.

Set clear performance targets and ensure adherence to SLAs.

Identify challenges and implement innovative, data-driven solutions to optimize productivity.

Assist in change management plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and monitor resistance to change.

Deliver exceptional service and patient satisfaction by resolving escalated patient concerns.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in pharmacy operations.

Monitor quality through audits and accuracy reviews.

Identify and address compliance risks in processes.

Foster open communication and share updates and best practices with the team.

Leadership & Problem-Solving

Model professionalism, accountability, and excellence in operations.

Address escalations promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.

Promote a positive, collaborative work environment and support professional development.

Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience in a data-driven, high-growth environment, with a track record of leading large cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or a similar field (strongly preferred).

Experience in the pharmacy, healthcare, or medical insurance industry with an understanding of regulatory and operational complexities.

Demonstrated success in overseeing teams, driving initiatives, and delivering results.

Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams and foster accountability.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities.

Data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging data and technology to optimize processes and drive improvement.

Proven track record of managing employees and workflow in high-volume environments.

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.

Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, and operational standards (preferred).

Proficiency in queue management tools, workflow systems, and office software.
