What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Responsibilities
Create, own, and drive the process for capturing and documenting product requirements for the security alarm market
Advocate for products with customers and collect feedback for product roadmap development
Collaborate with management, development, sales, and operations teams to drive products from definition to end of life
Conduct primary research to identify customer pain points and market opportunities
Engage with sales and marketing teams as a subject-matter expert in the alarm monitoring software industry
Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience as a Product Manager in the Security Alarm field
Pragmatic Institute framework experience and certification, or equivalent, for Product Managers is highly desired
4-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or 5 years of Product Management experience in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience in planning, budgeting, and developing business strategy
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and diverse internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in successfully managing a product from initial research through execution
Ability to articulate and document detailed product requirements for delivery teams
Strong bias for action and results with the ability to establish clear priorities
Experienced in agile product planning and development methodologies
Customer-centric mindset and self-starter able to work independently
