We are seeking a proactive and experienced

Technical Superintendent

to oversee the technical operations of our fleet. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring vessels are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance. You will manage planned maintenance, drydockings, repairs, budgeting, and performance monitoring, while working closely with ship crews and stakeholders. 1. Vessel Maintenance, Drydock & Major Repairs

Plan and oversee all maintenance, repair, drydocking, and survey activities to ensure vessel compliance and readiness. 2. Planned Maintenance System (PMS)

Track and ensure timely closure of all PMS tasks in coordination with the vessel’s command team. 3. Work Planning with Vessel Command

Collaborate with the ship’s leadership to create and monitor a dynamic maintenance and action plan aligned with company standards. 4. Budgeting & Cost Control

Coordinate vessel budget planning and enforce strict cost control on all operational expenditures. 5. Commercial Awareness & Vessel Performance

Monitor vessel performance metrics (e.g., speed, fuel, oil) and take corrective actions when deviations occur. 6. Vessel Inspections & Reporting

Conduct regular vessel visits and report on condition, crew performance, safety, and required actions. 7. Client Handling

Provide timely and accurate reports to Owners on vessel condition, costs, and management activities as per agreements. 8. Purchasing System & Procedures

Approve vessel orders within authority limits and seek client approval when limits are exceeded, ensuring operational readiness. 9. Insurance Claims Handling

Prepare and manage insurance claims, liaising with Owners and Underwriters to ensure timely processing. 10. Quarterly & Variance Reporting

Prepare and review annual operating budgets and variance reports for submission to management and Owners. 11. Selection & Briefing of Senior Officers

Interview and brief Senior Officers on vessel plans and expectations before deployment. Requirements

3-5 years experience as Fleet Superintendent in Technical Department, or previous experience in a Senior Engineering position or Naval Architect in the marine industry Recognized Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture Good client management skills Strong communication and troubleshooting skills Strong proficiency in English Language
