Overview The Genetics Clinic at Children's Mercy provides state‑of‑the‑art evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and counseling for inherited conditions, chromosome disorders and genetic birth defects. Registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families requiring care.
Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement a safe, high‑quality, comprehensive, age‑appropriate plan of care.
Meet educational needs of patients and families and advocate for their needs.
Maintain a safe, comfortable, family‑centered environment.
Apply current research and evidence for practice to expand professional knowledge and improve nursing care quality.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree ADN Required.
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred for hires after September 1, 2013.
Licensed RN (Kansas, Missouri, or RN Compact) required upon hire.
Required Life Support Certifications upon hire.
Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population preferred upon hire.

Starting Pay Pay ranges are market competitive; this position begins at $31.00/hr, adjusted for education and experience.
Remote Work This position requires onsite work at a Children’s Mercy location; remote work is not available.
