Job Description

WVU Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join their Radiation Oncology team. The APP will function in a split model, with 50% shared and 50% independent practice. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in nursing or a related field, and national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They will have experience in radiation oncology, hematology oncology, acute care, or internal medicine, and will be eligible for licensure in West Virginia. The APP will provide comprehensive and individualized care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, and will work collaboratively with the radiation oncology faculty and other members of the healthcare team. They will complete daily rounds, consult with patients and families, and participate in ambulatory clinic and inpatient rounding as applicable. Responsibilities: Manage comprehensive and individualized care for patients and their families undergoing radiation therapy Complete daily rounds and consult with patients and families Participate in ambulatory clinic and inpatient rounding as applicable Develop and review plans of care with the healthcare team Perform diagnostic procedures and therapeutic procedures as needed Requirements: Master's degree in nursing or a related field National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Experience in radiation oncology, hematology oncology, acute care, or internal medicine Eligible for licensure in West Virginia Working Conditions: Work closely with others in a fast-paced environment Protracted or irregular hours may be required Work around biohazards and infectious diseases University Health Associates is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
