Senior Clinical Specialist - Akron/Canton, OH We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. This is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site; however, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.

Provide technical, educational, operational and sales support to assist the district in meeting Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) sales and customer service objectives.

CRM seeks candidates who strive for the greatest possible reliability and quality in our products, processes and systems by being accountable, having a voice and taking action.

Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available for unscheduled needs. CSs are required to work weekends and holidays during the quarter as determined by local management. Weeknight call coverage is the primary responsibility of the Sales Rep; CSs may be scheduled for weeknight coverage as approved by regional management.

A DAY IN THE LIFE - POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support

Complete CRM Field Technical Training – online and in the field

Perform checks/interrogations of CRM medical device systems post sign-off

Support implants of CRM products post sign-off

Provide on-call support as needed in evenings and weekends post sign-off

Provide troubleshooting support as requested

Operational Support

Ensure patient registration and required hospital documentation are completed

Assist with consignment and trunk inventory management and provide additional inventory support as needed

Maintain software on programmers throughout the district as directed

Assist with managing daily coverage logistics

Educational Support

Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on products or solutions

Assist with educating and training new Clinical Specialists and Sales Representatives post sign-off

Sales Support

Partner with DSM, Sales Reps and DM to learn market dynamics and local customer needs; understand how Medtronic CRHF products offer value

Assist with obtaining customer POs and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape

Identify customer needs and opportunities and provide feedback to Sales Reps

Ongoing Technical Development

Stay up to date on new products and patient management offerings

Complete all assigned training in a timely manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma plus a minimum of 8 years of work experience in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company; OR

Associate degree plus a minimum total of 6 years in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company; OR

Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 4 years in an EP, Cath Lab setting, or sales or service in a cardiac device company

NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry

Ability to build/maintain positive relationships across organization levels

Strong work ethic and customer service focus

Proficiency with Microsoft tools and SalesForce.com

Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements

Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Frequent travel to customer sites; must be independently mobile

Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation

Ability to be within the assigned territory daily; occasional weekends/holidays as scheduled

Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving record reviewed

Travel requirement: minimum 10%

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package

Base salary range for U.S. locations: $85,000 - $115,000; eligibility for Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)
