About the Role The Clinical Specialist will provide technical, educational, operational, and sales support to the district to achieve Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) sales and customer service objectives. The role is remote but the candidate must reside within the assigned territory and be able to drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance are required.
Responsibilities
Technical Support: Complete CRM Field Technical Training (online and field), perform checks/interrogations of all CRM medical device systems, support implants of all CRM products, provide on‑call support for evenings and weekends, and troubleshoot as requested.
Operational Support: Ensure patient registration and required hospital documentation is completed, manage consignment and trunk inventory, maintain software on programmers, and assist with daily coverage logistics.
Educational Support: Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products, and assist new Clinical Specialists and Sales Representatives post sign‑off.
Sales Support: Collaborate with DSM, Sales Reps, and DM to understand market dynamics and customer needs; understand Medtronic CRM product value, assist with customer POs, recognize competitive landscape, and provide feedback to Sales Reps to support sales objectives.
Ongoing Technical Development: Stay current on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings; complete all assigned training timely; perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma plus at least 6 years of relevant experience in healthcare, field sales, or complex technical fields; or
Associate’s Degree plus at least 4 years of relevant experience; or
Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across organization levels.
Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft tools and other applications (SalesForce.com).
Capability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical Job Requirements
Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
Independent mobility and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Daily standing, walking, and sitting for up to eight+ hours.
Exposure to eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation.
Ability to use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard, mouse, and surgical tools.
Must drive approximately 80% of the time within the assigned territory.
Travel Requirements
Minimum travel of 10%.
Benefits & Compensation Base salary range for U.S. locations (excl. PR) is $72,000 – $90,000. The position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) that provides significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
