Physical Therapist Assistant (Neuro) – Sevita NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, Sevita offers programs including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. This role is based in Santa Barbara, CA. Compensation and schedule : $40-45 per hour, part time or per diem, flexible scheduling, no weekends, low patient ratios. The program includes a 12-patient neuro rehab program with a day program for adults. Responsibilities

Administer physical therapy treatments to patients, under the direction of and as an assistant to Physical Therapists. Ensure all program participants receive scheduled PT treatments and document sessions or reasons for any absence. Perform active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises based on general therapy principles. Perform therapeutic massage as needed. Conduct general mobilization and/or passive stretching within safety limits. Instruct, motivate, and assist participants in learning and improving functional activities. Provide gait training and instruction in the use of canes, crutches, walkers, braces, and splints; train participants at home and in the community, including endurance training. Measure ROM, length and girth of body parts, vital signs, and MMT to support the PT in evaluating progress and adjusting the treatment plan. Collaborate with staff and other healthcare team members to modify and coordinate treatment plans; participate in treatment planning with a trans-disciplinary team as requested. Adhere to accreditation standards, licensure requirements, professional ethics, and confidentiality. Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contraindications of physical therapy modalities and techniques. Assess PT equipment needs and maintenance. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Current PTA license in California. Good working knowledge of physical therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task. Why Join Us?
