Position Summary The Lead Technician coordinates the activities of the assigned maintenance department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. The Lead Technician is a working member of the maintenance group and reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance. Job Responsibilities Plan, direct, lay out and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. The Lead Technician is a working member of the maintenance group and is directly responsible to the Supervisor of Maintenance. Lead not more than 18 employees. Train and assist subordinates in proper procedures and practices for each duty. Maintain work areas, facilities, ground support equipment, and materials in safe, clean, and operable condition. Ensure the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records. Coordinate between maintenance personnel and the Inspection Department. Delegate duties as needed; the Lead Technician remains accountable for overall responsibilities. Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Responsible for the Company\'s Safety Management System (SMS) and related outputs. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Specifics
Required Qualifications FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification One year of experience on turbine-powered aircraft with maximum gross takeoff weight (MGTOW) of 12,500 lbs Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and ability to use manuals (GMM, AMM, FIM, wiring diagrams, etc.) Run Taxi/Qualified within 120 days, including AMA if applicable Competent in the use of required calibrated test equipment In good standing with the company (STEP 1 violations considered) PSA Indoctrination training and General Familiarization Good organizational and communication skills Airworthiness Release Qualified within 90 days Must possess or obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting Ability to speak/read/write English Authorized to work in the US Work Environment and Other Information
