Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Lead Technician coordinates the activities of the assigned maintenance department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. The Lead Technician is a working member of the maintenance group and reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
Plans, directs, layouts and coordinates the activities of the assigned Maintenance Department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
The Lead Technician will not be required to lead or direct more than 18 employees.
Trains and assists subordinates in proper procedures and practices for each duty.
Maintains work areas, buildings, ground support equipment, and materials in safe, clean, and operable condition.
Ensures that the responsible mechanic properly completes all work records.
Coordinates between maintenance personnel and the Inspection Department.
Delegates duties while maintaining overall responsibility.
Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated outputs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Required
Qualifications
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
One year of experience on turbine powered aircraft with maximum gross takeoff weight (MGTOW) of 12,500 lbs.
Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and ability to utilize applicable Manuals (GMM, AMM, FIM, Wiring diagrams, etc.).
Run Taxi/Qualified (within 120 days) including AMA, if applicable.
Competent in the use of required calibrated test equipment.
In good standing (STEP 1 violations considered).
PSA Indoctrination training and General Familiarization (training qualifications accepted).
Good organizational and communication skills.
Airworthiness Release Qualified within 90 days.
Must possess or have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position.
Ability to speak/read/write in English.
Authorized to work in the US.
Additional Information
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Maintenance.
Authorities: None
Supervisory Responsibility: This position leads others but does not have direct reports.
Work Environment: Professional office environment; standard office equipment used.
Physical Demands: Sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, and reaching.
Security Clearance: Fingerprint-based CHRC and pre-employment drug screen required.
