Construction Project Coordinator Greater Tampa Bay Area Overview

R.E. Floyd Construction is a growing general contractor and construction management firm specializing in community clubhouses, amenities, hardscapes, and commercial construction throughout West Florida since 1984. Responsibilities

Effectively collaborate with Executives and Project Managers on bids, contract documents, schedules, material procurement, change orders, contract modifications, and approvals. Ensure all subcontract documents are fully executed and maintain accurate records. Coordinate with subcontractors during pre‑construction, construction, and job close‑out phases. Compile and issue subcontracts and change orders, file and maintain contract documents, and vet subcontractor pre‑qualifications. Create bid packages, solicit subcontractors and vendors for bids, and develop the vendor base. Approve subcontractor/vendor packages and commit approved costs in QuickBooks Construction Accounting Software. Track project submittals between vendors and architect and obtain material samples for customer approvals. Review and track construction subcontracts, work orders, and purchase orders across multiple projects. Assist in project reporting and special projects as requested. Support subcontractors with document processes and liaise with customers and vendors for project coordination and scheduling. Cover front office duties on a rotating schedule, including front desk, telephone answering, mail distribution, conference room and lunch scheduling. Work with customers, design professionals, building officials, and municipalities to resolve plan conflicts and maintain positive relationships. Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or minimum 2 years’ experience in construction. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint). Knowledge of square foot and square yard dimensions, geometry, and math. Experience with data entry, construction blueprints, budgeting, bidding, and plan take‑off. Strong customer service skills, ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain a cooperative attitude. Position Details

Full‑time, 7:30‑4:30 AM‑PM, Monday‑Friday. May require travel in West Florida. Requires a clean, valid, Florida driver’s license and company vehicle. Current office location: Tampa, FL. Negotiable compensation based on experience.
