We are looking for you to join our team as a Lead Navigation Warfare (NavWar) Digital Engineer based out of Beavercreek, OH (Dayton, OH). Engineers here are part of multi-disciplinary program teams implementing next-generation navigation warfare products critical to US customers and allies. Team members conduct all phases of these programs, including requirements generation, hardware-selection, software development, and system integration and test. We are seeking engineers with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative organization to help develop, enhance, and maintain DSP designs on cutting edge products and systems. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Exposure To NAVWAR technologies and related navigation and signal processing concepts. Responsibilities
Design NAVWAR technologies, including characterization of platform dynamics, environmental/interference effects, and jamming mitigation techniques with regards to GPS processing Anti-jam GPS processing techniques and analysis (such as nulling, STAP, SFAP, SFAP-T, and/or differential GPS) Algorithms associated with satellite acquisition, tracking, and receiver measurement formation Hands-On experience with RF/Antenna electronics Familiarity with integrated INS/GPS navigation systems involving exposure to Kalman filtering / estimation theory What You Will Be Involved In
Development and evaluation of Anti-Jam (A/J), GPS Denied environment technologies Provide technical guidance and monitoring for activities focused on simulation modeling and analysis of NAVWAR processing and performance Analysis of GPS navigation performance in laboratory and flight test scenarios Interface with relevant customers/stakeholders Communication of status, issues, and results with program management and customers Work with a team of navigation warfare experts in a team-based collaborative environment Apply research and development skills to architect real-world products and capabilities Work with leading-edge navigation warfare systems, techniques, algorithms, and software to enhance mission success in contested environments Present ideas to internal and external groups; lead proposal activities; and represent Northrop Grumman at technical conferences Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical, Computer or related Engineering discipline with 12 years of experience; or MS with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years Demonstrated experience with signal processing algorithms Demonstrated experience with GPS technologies Demonstrated experience leading technical teams US Citizenship is required Clearance: Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance or higher prior to start date Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of Digital Control Theory Experience leading technical teams Experience with GPS and EW signal processing algorithms Experience with RF receiver development, including system link budget and sensitivity analysis, ADC and receiver noise analysis, and baseband processing Digital design and FPGA development in VHDL MATLAB DSP focus C/C++, embedded software in Linux/UNIX and RTOS Experience with GNU Radio or software-defined radios Active Top Secret security clearance Proven leadership, mentoring, communication, adaptability, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may be available. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, holidays and PTO.
