Gotion Illinois
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business, investment, and Gotion power station teams to conduct project feasibility studies.
Conduct feasibility reviews and cost reduction analyses on proposals from AE/GC/EPC, and complete the bidding process.
Cooperate with the Gotion Power Station team and the design institute to complete the integration of the Gotion energy storage system, and follow up on all project processes including design, installation, commissioning, grid connection, and so on until commercial operation.
Lead technical exchanges with equipment suppliers (including photovoltaic, energy storage, and electrical related equipment), complete specification selection, and conduct economic/compliance analysis.
Lead communication with the local power grid, complete the review and submission of grid connection agreement materials, and continuously follow up until they are approved.
Assist the business and legal teams in completing the signing of PPA, and provide financial references from the perspectives of investment and operation and maintenance costs.
In projects where Gotion participates as a subcontractor, communicate with relevant institutions such as electricity customers, investors, Gotion power station team, business team, and legal team, and cooperate with the project team to complete technical support at various stages.
Job Requirements
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design and management of commercial and large‑scale PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) power plants.
Familiarity with PV & energy storage power plant design regulations, with experience in developing PV & BESS power station, and related management knowledge.
Proficient in the design, development and regulatory approval of PV & BESS power plants in the U.S.
Strong communication, business negotiation, and exceptional organizational and coordination skills.
Fluent in English (working language) and proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
Legal status that allows for long‑term work in the United States.
