Job Summary
Seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to lead capital projects for our clients St. Louis Engineering group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions for mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers and chillers. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on mechanical design-engineering experience, a passion for managing projects from start to finish, and the ability to support day-to-day maintenance operations to minimize production impact. Job type: Contract Salary: $70 - $74 per hour Work hours: 8am to 4pm Education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engineering solutions for mechanical-related projects
Create project requirements, schedules, and manage all project costs
Develop front-end engineering (proof of concept) for funding approval
Manage multiple projects concurrently (10-20 projects)
Procure Engineering firms, contractors, materials and equipment
Manage overall project financials (budget vs. forecasting)
Support departmental process improvement efforts
Interpret policies, codes and regulations from internal and external agencies
Align project resources and elevate issues when needed
Communicate project status to different levels of the organization
Manage construction work supporting projects
Support day-to-day maintenance operations for HVAC-related issues that may impact production
Qualifications
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 8 years of experience
Education: Bachelors (required)
