Job Summary
Large manufacturing company targeting a Mechanical Engineer for production facility in Chicago IL area. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance and process improvement experience in heavy industry.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical training preferred. Location: Chicago, Illinois. Job type: Permanent. Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. Work hours: 8am to 4pm. Education: Bachelors.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment and machinery to identify any potential issues or areas of improvement.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum uptime and productivity. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues as they arise.
Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Mechanical design work, drawings and calculations, as it relates to the repair or improvement of our existing assets or execution of capital project investments.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
