Manager, Tech Services Management 2 Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for traveling to various sites in the US (including offshore facilities) and outside the US to perform commissioning and service on motors and generators. This includes installations, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and conducting training. The work model for this role is remote (#LI-Remote). This role contributes to the Motion division in the US. Your main responsibilities include: Completing installation wiring and/or providing technical direction to craft labor for installing new motors and generators, and performing start-up and commissioning tests in accordance with factory instructions and manuals. Facilitating mobilization, demolition, and installation activities, including equipment and tool shipping, scheduling, procurement, and supervision of craft labor on-site. Assisting with maintenance and testing of generator excitation systems, protective relays, and other auxiliary equipment. Writing detailed trip reports describing system and device failures and actions taken, reviewing problems and solutions with the Design Engineering group. Traveling 80-90% to customer sites to oversee equipment installations, perform system startup or maintenance, instruct customer maintenance, repair equipment, and provide first-response troubleshooting via phone for emergency needs. Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of work experience, or an Associate degree with 5 years, or a High school diploma with 12 years of work experience. Strong knowledge of electric machine theory, synchronous machine design and operation, including mechanical, electrical, and control aspects. Knowledge of protection and operation principles for synchronous machines connected to power grids. Experience in installation engineering design, supervision, project control, vibration and alignment, and troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to interpret electrical, connection, interconnection drawings, and schematics. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Ability to qualify for and hold industry certifications related to safety (e.g., MSHA, OSHA, THUET, TBOSIET) and background screening (e.g., TWIC, ISNetworld). More about us
