A Midwest-based heavy civil contractor is hiring a
Structural Engineer
to support bridge, highway, and infrastructure projects. This is a newly created role driven by growth and new project awards. While most work is transportation-focused, candidates from any structural background are encouraged to apply. What You’ll Do:
Design and analyze steel, concrete, and timber structures for access, demolition, and construction Engineer formwork, falsework, earth retention systems, and lift/jacking plans Draft clear construction drawings for field and fabrication teams Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field staff Provide occasional field support and technical clarification What You Bring:
Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering AutoCAD proficiency; Civil 3D, RISA 3D, Midas Civil, or AllPile a plus Familiarity with AISC, ACI 318, NDS; exposure to AASHTO or DOT specs helpful Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Why This Role Stands Out:
