The candidate will report to the EH&S Department’s Process Safety Director. The candidate will work individually and as part of the Process Safety team and will provide Field Operations with process safety support as it relates to OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.119 Process Safety Management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Company’s OSHA and EPA regulated facilities with managing, coordinating, and implementing all fourteen (14) elements of the PSM standard and the additional requirements of the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) to verify and ensure regulatory compliance.
Interact and collaborate with third party customer’s process safety professionals regarding regulatory compliance.
Conduct internal PSM and RMP compliance audits.
Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
Proficient in reading and understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Participate in and lead PSM incident investigations, including root cause failure analysis.
Develop and implement key performance indicators to track the progress of facility PSM programs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a professional and courteous attitude.
Ability to travel to miscellaneous Company facilities with travel exceeding 50 percent.
Requirements
Minimum 6-years engineering experience.
Assist the Company’s OSHA and EPA regulated facilities with managing, coordinating, and implementing all fourteen (14) elements of the PSM standard and the additional requirements of the EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) to verify and ensure regulatory compliance.
Proficient in Primatech PHA software (i.e., PHAWorks Lite, and PHAWorks RA Edition)
Proficient in the HAZOP, What-if Checklist, and FMEA methodologies.
Proficient in Layers of Protection (LOPA)
Experience in ISA 61511
Excellent communicating skills, both verbal and written, as well as a professional and courteous attitude.
Experience by Job Level
Engineer level: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience
Senior Engineer level: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 6-10 years of relevant job related experience
