Remuneration: $127,000 – $178,000 base + 17% superannuation and leave loading

Overview The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Clinical Education, Nutrition and Dietetics sits within the School of Health Sciences, Discipline of Nutrition & Dietetics, reporting to the Discipline Lead.
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of nutrition and dietetics clinical placement programmes and will collaborate with placement teams across all disciplines to enhance the School’s clinical education capabilities. The role has no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement nutrition and dietetics clinical placement programmes.
Collaborate with placement teams across all disciplines to enhance clinical education capabilities.
Maintain discipline knowledge and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programmes, particularly related to clinical education and work‑integrated learning.
Qualifications Level B
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or eligibility and willingness to seek accreditation as an APD.
PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics or other related health disciplines preferred; significant experience considered.
Demonstrated experience with industry and work‑integrated learning and clinical education.
Proven commitment to proactive maintenance of discipline knowledge and development.
Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programmes (degrees).
Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Level C
Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programmes at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, specifically in clinical education/WIL.
Minimum of post‑graduate qualifications relevant to the position (e.g. learning and teaching related).
Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence.
Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact to improve education and/or health outcomes.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
