Sinai-Grace’s joint replacement program features minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgery. Sinai-Grace operates more than 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Wayne and Oakland Counties. Job Summary
The Nurse Extern I (NE I) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The NE I works under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based on patient needs and NE I skills and abilities. The NE I reports deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse. Specific patient care tasks may vary by unit or service line, based on patient population. Students hired as Nurse Extern I have the job duties of a patient care tech or equivalent role. Responsibilities
Provide technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. Report deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse. Perform duties consistent with the NE I role, as delegated based on patient needs and skills/abilities. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course through an accredited school of nursing. Students must successfully pass all courses to remain in the program. Job Details
