School Speech Pathologist Assistant | Somerton, Arizona
A Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant position is available in Somerton, AZ, supporting K-12 students in a school setting. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY), offering an opportunity to contribute to students' communication development under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Responsibilities Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services in alignment with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement treatment plans. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, including during high-stress or crisis situations. Travel between multiple school buildings as needed within the school day. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student served. Provide onsite support exclusively; remote work is not available.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or a related field; an AAS degree from an SLPA program is also acceptable. Active SLPA license or certification. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a dynamic school environment. Commitment to working directly onsite and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
