Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) program emphasizes in-field learning and development. Project Engineers master critical construction skills, including: Scheduling and production rate tracking Estimating Budget preparation and project cost control Safety management Quality control Business development and client relations Field resource management The PECD program aims to develop employees into company leaders. It uses a competency-based approach with mentorship, providing experience across multiple competencies before pursuing a chosen career path (e.g., project management, estimating, construction management). Responsibilities
Support project planning, scheduling, and on-site execution for concrete repair and specialty construction projects. Assist with estimating, budgeting, and cost control to meet project targets. Support safety management and ensure compliance with site requirements. Contribute to quality control and coordination with design teams and contractors. Assist with client relations and business development efforts as needed. Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s Degree required; preference for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field GPA of 2.8 or higher Minimum one relevant internship experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong documentation and organizational skills Aptitude for solving problems Reliable transportation from office to job-sites Location and Availability
STRUCTURAL New Jersey office is located in Hawthorne, NJ and is primarily in-office. Most projects are in northern/central New Jersey with some out-of-town work in New York State. Benefits
