Base pay range $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
We are seeking a
Design Engineer
to support the development and manufacturing of
air product components . This technical role focuses on
mechanical and tooling design
for high-volume manufacturing. The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with
engineering, tooling, operations, and quality teams
to develop innovative solutions.
Required Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years’ experience
in
mechanical design, product design, or tooling design
of
plastic consumer products .
Proficiency in NX CAD (Siemens NX) .
Experience with
PDM software (preferably Teamcenter)
and
revision control .
Strong
problem-solving skills
with a
methodical approach .
Ability to
analyze complex problems
and develop
innovative solutions .
Ability to
handle multiple projects
and adapt to
changing priorities .
Strong
communication and collaboration skills
across teams and levels.
Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs
when handling tooling or equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and lead
mechanical/tooling design
for product components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
ensure manufacturability .
Work on
transferring manufacturing processes
to new equipment.
Document
tooling designs
and provide updates to stakeholders.
Stay current on
engineering tools, processes, and best practices .
Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience with
SolidWorks .
Knowledge or experience in
thermoforming .
Experience in
high-volume manufacturing environments .
Knowledge of
manufacturability considerations
for tooling and product design.
