The Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls the activities of the production/assembly department. This position prioritizes safety, quality, on-time and efficient production. This role works closely with most other functions including Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, Customer Service, Engineering, and Purchasing. In order to grow and build a successful career with Prime Design, you will be responsible for: Ensure compliance with OSHA and any other regulatory requirements. Oversee production output and daily schedules for employees within assigned work center(s). Drive continuous improvement to improve safety, quality, delivery, employee engagement, and ultimately reduce costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively promote and drive a culture of safety. Drive and monitor key team metrics for quality, delivery, and productivity in alignment with company goals and objectives. Interview, select, and on-board new employees in support of overall staffing plan. Monitor performance, give recognition, and take corrective action when necessary. Identify cross training opportunities and implement wherever possible to expand employee skills and flexibility. Coach and develop all employees as opportunities present themselves. Mentor new employees during their transition and onboarding. Organize and facilitate continuous improvement projects and production support activities as part of a cross functional work team. Manage and monitor the flow of orders, parts inventory, and human resources to meet on-time shipping goals, quality expectations and optimize labor productivity, equipment, and space utilization. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bottlenecks, process failures, incomplete or outdated procedures, staffing issues, supply chain problems, and/or training deficiencies. Develop and support a team-based approach through daily communications meetings, working cross functionally and reinforcing overall company objectives. Collaborate with peers in management to drive the execution of continuous improvement projects. Other duties as requested. Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or equivalent work experience Progressive leader with 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment ERP experience, Syteline ERP knowledge preferred Proven skills leading employees in dependability, reliability, responsibility, safety, quality, efficiency, and respect Demonstrated ability to lead and coach others with effective oral and written communication skills Mechanical aptitude with mechanical assembly is preferred Training in Safety, Quality, and Lean Manufacturing Thorough knowledge of reading work instructions and part specification sheets Requirements
