Prime Design is currently looking for a
Controller
to oversee and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all Prime Design financial planning, reporting, and controls. Reporting to the VP Finance of the Work Truck Group, this position will lead accounting in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles and contribute to the achievement of business targets and objectives. Essential skills include strong communication and organization, experience implementing processes and procedures, and effective collaboration with Prime Design and affiliated companies. The Controller will also manage and coach an on-site accountant who supports month-end reporting. Onsite Requirement:

$120,000 - $140,000 USD Annual Main Responsibilities
As the most senior finance leader at Prime Design, this role’s primary responsibilities include: direct and coordinate financial reporting and budget management functions. Recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance and implement related reporting metrics for early warning and corrective actions. Lead the monthly financial close process. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and prior year. Lead daily operations of the accounting department. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Prepare financial forecasts and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Complete special projects and financial analysis for discussions with management regarding product life cycle and pricing actions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. Implement department goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Assist the corporate accounting team with audits and provide recommendations for process improvements. Coordinate, control, reconcile, and report physical inventory results. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in finance, accounting or economics is a plus. 7+ years of relevant experience; management experience is a strong asset. Public accounting experience preferred. CPA license a plus (active status not a concern). Experience in ERP reporting systems (Syteline is a plus). Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations. Knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal control principles in a manufacturing environment, including GAAP. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare/present financial reports, statements, and projections. Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting, including rolling budgets and product costing analysis for items with complex bills of materials. Experience motivating teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects. Comfortable leading group meetings with internal employees, customers or senior leaders. Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
