$19.50/hr on W2 Description
The Inspector is responsible for ensuring sewer repair and construction work is conducted safely, to specified standards, and in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Review & Site Setup Review project documentation, permits, blueprints, and safety plans. Verify contractor qualifications, licenses, and certifications. Check site safety measures (traffic control, signage, excavation shoring, site security). Confirm utility locates before excavation. Assess property layout and potential obstacles. Verify trench dimensions, depth, slope, and safety shoring. Check pipe materials, type, and size per specifications. Inspect pipe alignment, sealing, and grade. Document findings with photos and detailed notes. Traditional Repairs: Inspect damaged sections, replacement pipes, and couplings. Trenchless Repairs (Pipe Lining / Pipe Bursting): Monitor cleaning, insertion, curing, and installation. Spot Repairs: Ensure correct techniques and materials are used. Manholes: Inspect construction or repair for size, sealing, lids, and ventilation. Post-Construction Testing & Backfilling Witness hydrostatic pressure testing for leaks and system integrity. Verify proper backfill materials, compaction, and warning tape placement. Ensure surface restoration per project specifications (repaving, landscaping). Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection records with dates, times, and findings. Submit comprehensive reports on progress, compliance, and corrective actions. Update sewer maps with new installations or major repairs (if applicable). Safety Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor site safety practices and PPE usage. Stop work if unsafe conditions are observed and ensure corrective measures are taken. Requirements
