Overview
Entry Process Automation Systems Engineer role at Emerson. DeltaV (Distributed Control System) based automation projects in Emerson’s North America Engineering Solutions, with the position based in Blue Bell, PA; Durham, NC; Houston, TX; or St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities
Work in collaborative, problem solving teams responsible for control systems projects involving the latest technology available in automation, digital control and safety systems. Assist with the development, update, and quality check of project deliverables. Typical project deliverables include network architecture diagrams, instrumentation databases, control systems cabinet drawings, software configuration and user interface displays for DCS, SIS and PLC systems. Work at customer sites in the field by participating in field surveys and assisting with installations, checkouts, and startups of control systems. Interface with customers to fulfill their process automation needs and contribute to improving plant safety, reliability, and efficiency. Who You Are

Must be an upcoming college graduate on or before May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Must be comfortable in plant sites, and possess the ability to navigate staircases, ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks. Must be willing to travel to end user locations and up to 25-50% of the year. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications
Majors in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology. Previous Automation Controls experience. Previous engineering internship and/or military experience is a plus. Our Culture & Commitment to You
