Job Description Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is looking for an Aircraft Quality Inspector to join our team in Mobile, AL.
Your Team The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world, on the shop floor with colleagues skilled in electrical, structure and quality. Join our team to help build the next generation of aircraft.
Your Working Environment Nearby on “Airbus Way” you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and is part of Airbus’ strategy to meet growing customer needs.

Your Challenges Position Summary Responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process.
Essential Functions
Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft within the scope of manufacturer operation authorization.
Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customer and certification requirements.
Document inspections in SAP-based and SAL-based IT systems and prepare first article inspection reports.
Support troubleshooting and participate in Quality Survey requests.
Compile non-conformance data to launch SAP-based quality discrepancy sheets for professional assessment per engineering documentation.
Document all inspection results in the SAP-based IT system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Basic Job Requirements
Preferred 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an international aviation company or equivalent.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
Knowledge of production line principles, practices, and tools.
Experience with inspection tools (mechanical, optical, electrical).
Education / Special Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience.
Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization.
Airline experience is desirable.
Physical Requirements
Vision and hearing adequate for computer work and conversations; ability to follow safety signals.
Speaking ability to communicate in meetings and with teams.
Ability to operate a wide range of equipment; work at heights up to 40 feet and in confined spaces as required.
Carrying, lifting up to 55 lbs (25 kg) occasionally; push/pull and walking in various environments.
Travel domestically and overseas as needed.
