Quality / Reliability Engineer General
Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Quality / Reliability Engineer General. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do
Implement commodity‑specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery.
Lead cross‑functional decisions with client & supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues.
Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers.
Principal for on‑site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.
Lead adherence to client standards (i.e. Q1).
Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites.
Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP).
Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree.
APQP and PPAP execution experience is a must have.
Quality Management.
Problem Solving.
5+ years’ experience working with interior vehicle systems. Plastic/Rubber Molding.
Must be willing to travel to suppliers up to 70%.
