Job Description Full-Time Faculty Member

Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery

The University of Maryland, Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery, is seeking applications for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include:

Academic and clinical teaching at undergraduate and residency levels

Supervision of dental students

Patient care in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic, the Acute Care Clinic at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at University of Maryland Medical Center

Qualifications

DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree and eligibility for licensure to practice dentistry in Maryland

Possession of or eligibility for a class III anesthesia permit in Maryland (highly desirable)

Completed residency in Oral Surgery/Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery

Experience in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching (advantageous)

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will be available until filled.
