Midwife
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care to patients. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting women through all stages of pregnancy and childbirth while promoting family-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prenatal Care
Conduct comprehensive prenatal assessments and examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings
Provide education on nutrition, exercise, and pregnancy wellness
Monitor fetal development and maternal health throughout pregnancy
Identify and manage low-risk pregnancies and refer high-risk cases as appropriate
Labor and Delivery
Attend and manage normal labor and delivery
Provide continuous support and pain management options during labor
Perform delivery of newborns in low-risk births
Recognize complications and collaborate with physicians when needed
Perform or assist with emergency procedures as required
Postpartum Care
Provide immediate postpartum care to mother and newborn
Conduct postpartum visits and assessments
Offer breastfeeding support and education
Provide family planning counseling and contraceptive services
Monitor for postpartum complications and provide appropriate interventions
Patient Education and Support
Counsel patients and families on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth
Develop individualized birth plans with patients
Provide emotional support throughout the childbirth experience
Educate on newborn care and parenting skills
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program
Current Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) certification through AMCB
Active state nursing license (RN) and advanced practice license
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods during labor and delivery
Capable of lifting and positioning patients as needed
Manual dexterity for performing examinations and procedures
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Work Schedule
Full-time position with rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
On-call responsibilities as part of practice rotation
Flexibility required to accommodate patient care needs

Pay: $98,919.03 - $150,000.00 per year
