This position is a Telework position and is required to report to the APD office in the area it serves. SALARY RANGE $95,000.00 - $101,105.94 Annually $3,653.84 - $3,888.69 Bi-weekly Position Summary This is a highly responsible clinical psychologist position within the Division of Operations, Bureau of Rapid Response and Support, in the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities whose role includes, but is not limited to supporting the APD Regional Offices with the eligibility determination process. The Work You Will Do Conducts in-depth reviews and evaluates records to determine whether applicants meet eligibility criteria for agency services in accordance with state and federal laws, rules, and procedures. Completes iBudget Waiver level of care determinations to ensure clients meet the level of care criteria for services through the home and community-based services waiver program state and federal laws, rules, and procedures. Develops written summaries of eligibility determinations, documents the decision in the client central record, and utilizes agency business systems to conduct and document all work. Consults with Agency legal counsel and participate as an agency witness in hearings related to eligibility determinations. Provides expert testimony, participates in hearings and depositions, and provides affidavits associated with clinical and forensic work. Consults with Regional Office and State Office staff regarding the eligibility process. Actively engages with the Intake and Eligibility staff to include participating in case reviews, facilitating roundtable discussions, and ensuring compliance with routine and mandated assignments. Completes periodic utilization reviews of eligibility determinations as assigned. Examine persons being considered for involuntary admission to residential services and prepares reports and provides testimony regarding eligibility for Agency services under Chapters 393 and 916, Florida Statutes. Reviews and recommends related to 393.11 commitments regarding eligibility for agency and waiver services. Participates in case staffings as appropriate for APD applicants and clients. Provides technical assistance to clients, legal representatives, and regional offices. Performs in-person psychological evaluations when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be proficient with Microsoft Office systems. Must have a driver’s license or other efficient means of transportation. Ability To Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Apply clinical judgment regarding eligibility determinations and client services. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Understand, apply and interpret applicable statutes, rules, regulations and policies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, Regional Office staff, consumers, family members and other stakeholders. Work independently. Learn and communicate complex information. Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Demonstrate Skills In Microsoft Office systems.
