Part time Shift: Description: Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG)
is a physician-led multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, offering an opportunity for an advanced practice provider to join its Hospitalist Medicine service in Boise, Idaho. The provider, either a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA), collaborates with surgical physicians to deliver independent high-level services within the Hospitalist Medicine Program. Responsibilities include pre-admission testing evaluation and perioperative management. Key duties include: Providing care for all assigned age groups (adolescents over 18, adults, and geriatrics). Reporting findings accurately and promptly to physicians. Gathering social and medical histories, evaluating labs, managing medications, assessing cardiac risk, coordinating specialists, and reconciling medications at home. Managing perioperative care proactively. Coordinating with specialists or referring patients as needed. Ensuring accurate documentation and billing. Participating in departmental service development and clinical workflow improvements. Support includes 24/7 anesthesia services, a Level II Trauma Center, emergency department, on-site clinics, and rotating specialty physicians. Requirements: Current, unrestricted Idaho medical license for PA or NP; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA. Strong medical background with a desire to provide acute care, supporting a growing multi-specialty group. The candidate will obtain Idaho medical licensure to support the health system's internal medicine programs. Community:
