We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Physician Assistant (PA)
or
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
with a strong background in wound management to join our multidisciplinary team. The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for performing advanced wound assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, skin grafts and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, examination, and wound evaluation
Develop and manage individualized wound care treatment plans
Perform debridement, dressing changes, and apply advanced wound therapies (negative pressure, skin substitutes, etc.)
Order and interpret diagnostic studies related to wound healing (labs, imaging, vascular studies)
Prescribe medications and order appropriate treatments per scope of practice and protocols
Provide patient and caregiver education on wound prevention and self-care
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff for coordinated care
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Participate in continuous quality improvement and clinical education initiatives
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of California
National Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC)
Current DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in wound care, dermatology, or vascular medicine
Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWS, or equivalent) preferred
Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills
Experience with EMR systems and multidisciplinary collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience ($80.00 - $100.00 per hour)
