Overview
BJC Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Physician to join our growing team. This role provides high-quality care in nursing homes and other facilities and involves collaboration with a team of clinicians in the St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois area. We support physicians at all career stages, including experienced physicians, residents, or fellows. Position Highlights
Established and busy skilled nursing facilities with flexible hours and no weekends. Primarily see new admissions and support Advanced Practice Providers. Call schedule is via telephone and charting from home. 1–4 facilities with Advanced Practice Provider support. Facilities located in Illinois and Missouri. Strong provider team with 4 physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. Compensation & Benefits Highlights
First 2 years on guaranteed salary. CME Allowance and days provided. Signing Bonus available. Quality bonus available after 2-year guarantee. Residency stipend available. Student Loan Assistance available. Comprehensive benefit package. Malpractice and tail coverage provided at exit. PTO available. Responsibilities
Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care for hospitalized patients, including hospital rounds or coverage with hospitalists or other qualified physicians in accordance with Medical Staff requirements. Collaborates with patients, families, and care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at clinic locations designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach locations. Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws. Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient care in a manner acceptable to BJC, following all policies and professional standards. Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers and care team members involved in the patient’s care. This position is safety-sensitive; the ability to work in a constant state of alertness is required. Minimum Requirements
Education: Doctorate, Medicine. Licenses & Certifications: BOARD ELIGIBLE OR BOARD; Licensed Physician. Experience: Preferred 2–5 years; Supervisor Experience: No experience required. Preferred Requirements
