PracticeLink The University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Surgery, focusing on Trauma Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, a reputable level 2 trauma center. This role involves providing in-house call coverage for Trauma, Surgical ICU, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery services. The schedule includes 9 months of day shift coverage 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, interchangeable with 3 months of night shift coverage 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, and will involve weekends and holidays. Highlights of the role
Responding to level II and level I trauma activations Admitting surgical patients requiring inpatient care Performing bedside procedures after appropriate training Coordinating care with attending physicians Participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program Ohio Board of Nursing Licensure for Nurse Practitioners Minimum of 1 year inpatient care in the past 24 months or Acute Care Certification preferred National certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current BLS and ATLS certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months Benefits
