Description Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Breast Surgery team in Athens, Georgia. This is a full-time position with call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assess patients and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing medical and surgical problems, prescribing necessary treatments. Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, write progress notes, prepare patient workups, and develop therapeutic relationships. Order and schedule laboratory and diagnostic procedures, explain procedures to patients and families. Monitor patient progress, report to supervising physicians, and maintain records. Serve as First Assist in the OR.
