Overview
Neonatology Nurse Practitioner position with Banner Health in Tucson, AZ. Support a Level IV Neonatology team at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson, involved in up to 20 patients on the resident-led team and up to 16 patients on the NNP-led team. Duties include attending high-risk deliveries, teaching/assisting/performing procedures (including intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management), and participating as an NRP instructor. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Schedule and Work Environment
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Flexible shifts with self-scheduling; 8- and 13-hour shifts available, Monday–Sunday with day and night coverage Charting assistance; attendings write daily notes Teaching and research opportunities Multiple residents, attendings, and other NNPs on each shift for comprehensive support Responsibilities
Attend high-risk deliveries Assist/perform procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, and PICCs Ventilator management Participate as an NRP instructor Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years neonatal nursing preferred; new graduates welcome to apply AZ license, or ability to obtain by start date Current BLS and NRP certification Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances (waived for new graduates) Benefits
