Lead Others, Care for Patients, Make a Difference - NNP Supervisor in Tucson, AZ Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor to join the Division of Neonatology at the University Medical Center Tucson Campus. The NNP Supervisor will work in an academic setting to provide coverage for our Level IV NICU, work closely with neonatologists to provide patient care, provide direction and education for residents, and work to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner Supervisor provides clinical support on the resident/attending/NNP team and NNP/attending teams in a 38-bed unit; attends all high-risk deliveries, teaches/assists/performs procedures including intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management, and participates as an NRP instructor. This supervisor also consults with high-risk mothers in labor and delivery and collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the supervisor oversees the NNP team, schedules and conducts performance evaluations, provides regular updates to the team, and participates in procedure/protocol development and rollout implementation in partnership with the Medical Director and other leaders. Full-time (1.0 FTE)

Rotating shifts - days/nights/weekends with no call and protected admin time

Charting assistance

Attendings write daily notes

Teaching and research opportunities

Multiple residents, attendings, and other NNPs on each shift for comprehensive support

Required Qualifications

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with 3 years of supervisory experience

Experienced in Level III or Level IV NICUs

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing and with prescribing privileges through the Arizona State Board of Nursing

Current NPR Certification

Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substances
