The practice of sonography involves performing high-frequency sound wave procedures for diagnostic purposes. Under the supervision of the Ultrasound Technologist Manager and Site Manager, the Ultrasound Technologist provides high-quality diagnostic images tailored to each case. Schedule
Full-time and part-time flexible hours available Responsibilities
Understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Maintain accuracy in ultrasound imaging and analysis, ensuring quality and completeness for diagnosis. Apply knowledge of bioeffects of ultrasound and adhere to ALARA principles. Greet patients, obtain medical history, provide procedure instructions, and handle patients professionally and courteously. Operate ultrasound equipment following recognized procedures and routines. Perform quality control and report equipment concerns immediately. Ensure patient confidentiality and demonstrate excellent communication and patient care skills. Maintain aseptic techniques and complete all documentation accurately. Assist with supplies, coordinate with staff, and support other duties as scheduled. Support training and supervision of new staff and students as needed. Qualifications
One year of formal ultrasound training or experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer. Experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and Vascular Ultrasound. Registered in ultrasound by ARDMS and in Vascular Technology. Maintain CME requirements and certifications as required by authorities. Physical Demands
Walk and stand intermittently, lift up to 50 pounds, and move patients as needed. Benefits
