Consistently provide outstanding service to all patients, physicians, fellow employees, and guests. Show initiative to complete processes and offer assistance without being asked. Maintain awareness of own limitations and seek guidance as needed. Prioritize activities based on service demands. Remain alert to errors in own and others’ work and initiate corrective actions. Understand patient rights, including confidentiality, informed decision‑making, and privacy. Use resources for ethical concerns and make appropriate referrals. Practice cost efficiency. Perform technical skills in accordance with established standards and annual validation. Utilize specialized knowledge and skill to perform job requirements. Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including minor troubleshooting. Perform manual and automated test procedures. Know specimen requirements, processing, handling, and rejection criteria. Report laboratory results, including special calculated, critical values and quality control in a timely manner. Maintain laboratory logs. Understand hospital policies and procedures: technical safety, infection control, disaster policies. Qualifications

One year experience in a clinical laboratory. MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred, or Registry eligible as a Medical Technologist. Associate degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s or Associate degree must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Lab Scientist must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date. Equal Opportunity
