As Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Walk to End Alzheimer’s® ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising event in the United States and continues to grow rapidly. In 2024, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® was recognized as the #2 peer-to-peer fundraising event in the country and achieved the largest dollar growth of any program in the top 30. Utilizing your networking and relationship-building skills, you will cultivate key community connections, drive revenue by engaging community and corporate leaders, and build sustainable volunteer committees in Central Oregon, Eugene, and Corvallis. You will manage multiple peer-to-peer fundraising events annually, inspire volunteers with proven strategies, and grow event participation year over year. Responsibilities
Identify and engage community and corporate leaders to drive revenue and participation for Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Build and empower sustainable volunteer committees in Central Oregon, Eugene, and Corvallis. Manage multiple peer-to-peer fundraising events annually and coach volunteers to implement best practices for growth. Foster a positive, inclusive team environment and strengthen long-term community relationships. Meet or exceed designated revenue and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships. Prospect, cultivate and steward event teams, sponsors and participants; manage event budgets, timelines, and milestones; use data to improve outcomes. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 3–5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals OR 3–5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets Confident, goal-oriented self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively Proven ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels with diplomacy Commitment to inclusion and the ability to work in a matrixed organization Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and follow-through Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory by car; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends for committee meetings and events Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs of materials Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, social media); experience with or ability to learn Luminate/Convio software Job Details
