Position: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN, GI/ENDO RN)
Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
Unit: Surgical Services – Endoscopy
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/5/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:15 AM – 3:45 PM), with rotation to 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; department open weekdays, on-call required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Facility Setting: 8 procedural rooms, 18 PACU bays, holding and recovery rooms
Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
1-2 years of recent Endoscopy RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Proficiency with GI Technician Endoscopy, Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing
SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred (not required)
Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in on-call coverage
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care for endoscopy procedures, including conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases
Set up, operate, and reprocess Olympus endoscopy scopes and related equipment
Monitor and recover patients in the PACU (clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:2-3)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality clinical support
Accurately document patient care and procedures in EPIC EMR
Participate in on-call rotation for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
