with specialization in
Endocrinology
to join their growing employed physician group on the
West Coast of Florida . Sarasota
is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa and 1.5 hours north of Fort Myers on the West Coast of Florida. The area is known for its nationally recognized schools, arts & culture events, great restaurants, and minutes from the beaches of Siesta Key, Longboat Key and Lido Key. Responsibilities
Join an established and growing practice of 4 Endocrinologists and 1 APP. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. See patients at two practice locations, Sarasota and Venice. Work closely with endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions. Prior experience in managing a diabetic patient population is highly desirable. Call of 1:6. Requirements
Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and active Florida license by time of hire. Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
with active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years). Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner
with active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years). BL S required. Highlights of the Opportunity

The Physician Assistant (PA) reflects the mission, vision, and values of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards. The PA II typically works in a set acute care setting managing patient care which can include critical care, OB/GYN, Oncology, and Pediatrics. A PA is a graduate with a master's degree or certificate from an accredited physician assistant program. The PA functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced care to patients. The PA is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine to perform medical services delegated by the supervising physician(s). Required Qualifications
Require bachelor degree from accredited physician assistant training program. Require current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Preferred Qualifications
Prefer ability to work independently and collaboratively. Prefer demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills. Prefer ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting. Prefer demonstrated clinical competency skills. Prefer knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing. Prefer demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing. Prefer effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting. Prefer effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills. Prefer knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations, and knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs. Education and Licenses
Mandatory Education MD: Masters Degree Required License and Certs PA: Physician Assistant Preferred Licenses and Certs ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS: Basic Life Support Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
