passionate, purpose‑driven Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
looking for a fulfilling career in a multidisciplinary private practice? We combine a family‑based therapy approach with a collaborative, supportive team environment. Our Winchester, VA location brings together pediatric speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and OT assistants— all working together to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives.
Our unique model integrates parents into every session, empowering caregivers to carry over therapy into the home environment. We are looking for motivated OTs ready to serve pediatric patients in‑clinic and in‑home, build a caseload, and help children reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
Serve a caseload of children and families with a wide range of disabilities and developmental disorders.
Work with pediatric patients diagnosed with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and related conditions.
Conduct assessments using tools such as Beery VMI, PDMS, BOT‑2, SPM, Sensory Profile.
Supervise OT students and COTAs.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient progress.
Communicate progress with supervisors and parents weekly.
Attend team meetings and community‑based projects/activities.
Utilize evidence‑based approaches, including Zones of Regulation, emotional regulation interventions, feeding strategies, and sensory integration/behavior techniques.
Qualifications
VA/WV State License in Occupational Therapy (or willingness to obtain).
Positive, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
CPR certification.
Active AOTA membership preferred.
