$72,800-$101,920 a year (based on years of experience)
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities Supervise nursing care in accordance with rules, regulations & guidelines governing long-term care.
Ensure all nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures established by the organization.
Assure the implementation of resident care plans and conduct assessments and care plans appropriate for residents admitted to the facility.
Communicate pertinent information and interpret facility policies to residents, staff, families, and visitors. Communicate effectively with all disciplines.
Keep the Director of Nursing (DON) informed of changes in resident condition.
Review, investigate, and document incidents/accidents; coordinate orientation for new nursing staff; implement progressive discipline when appropriate.
Evaluate emergency situations and take appropriate action. Participate in facility surveys made by authorized agencies.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc.
Complete and file required record-keeping forms/charts upon resident admission, transfer, or discharge. Receive phone orders from physicians and record on the Physician's Order Form.
Chart all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents and follow established procedures. Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; verify resident identity before administering medications/treatments.
Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to the DON. Maintain narcotic records accurately for the shift and notify DON of discrepancies.
Perform responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies, including hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials.
Attend and participate in mandatory and scheduled training to maintain current certification as a Nursing Assistant.
All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that exhibits Integritus’ mission, vision, and core values.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Massachusetts nursing license as an RN.
Previous nursing experience in a supervisory role preferred.
CPR/BLS/AED and IV certification required.
