Opportunities in the Advanced Cardiac Surgical Unit (Cardiovascular Transplant & ECMO unit). AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute is a leading center in the Southeast for heart transplantation and ECMO care, with a history of high patient survival and ongoing expansion of ECMO capacity. We are seeking APN and PA candidates who are passionate about caring for medically complex patients and who have an interest in cardiovascular devices and critical illness. Duties and Responsibilities

Assess patients for changes in condition and initiate appropriate interventions, including emergency care when needed. Procedures performed include chest tubes, arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, temporary pacemakers, airway management, and defibrillation. Participate in the pre-, peri-, and postoperative management of cardiac transplant, VAD, MCS, and ECMO patients. Engage in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research under physician direction and within credentialing standards. Schedule Details

Shift coverage is nights, with weekend and holiday rotation. 5 PM to 5 AM (night shift). 14 (12-hour) shifts required per month. Experience and Requirements

Experience as an APRN or PA in Critical Care, with willingness to learn the CV side. Experience with transplant patients, LVAD, circulatory assist devices, and CABG (highly preferred). Experience in CICU or CVICU as an RN (highly preferred). ECMO experience (highly preferred). Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing with Acute Care Certification (Required). Board Certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN. BLS, ACLS, CALS, FCCS, or relevant certifications (or eligible). Benefits
