Job Summary and Qualifications A Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) who renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural and educational needs. The Critical Care Float Pool RN provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure. The Float Department RN functions under the oversight and direction of the Nursing Supervisor. Assignment responsibilities with full patient assignment will be specific to critical care patients in ICU, Intermediate Care Unit, or Emergency Room.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse
Associate’s degree
One year of clinical nursing experience in ICU
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and (ALS or ACLS) and Certification Required
