InGenesis is currently sourcing Licensed Practical Nurse candidates for a client. In this role you will provide direct patient care that meets physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs. You will contribute as a key member of the health care team. Job Duties
Provide direct care to patients within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and granted privileges. Deliver treatment to persons throughout the life span as appropriate to discipline and facility setting. Respond to and coordinate responses to medical emergencies as expected. Evaluate the health care needs of residents and assist the RN in developing nursing care plans to meet those needs. Adhere to practical nursing principles, procedures, and techniques for appropriate patient care and take direction from registered nurses and onsite administrative personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an approved, accredited Practical Nurse program located in a state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory. Current, full and unrestricted LPN license in the state in which the duty station is located. One year of professional experience as a licensed practical nurse. BLS certification through the American Heart Association®. Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish (preferred, not required). Physical Demands
Work requires long periods of standing, walking or jogging unaided over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment. Must be able to respond to any medical emergency in the facility via foot within four minutes and perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency. EEO Statement
