You will be at the forefront of providing specialized and compassionate care to patients undergoing chemotherapy. This role involves responsibilities aimed at ensuring patient well-being and supporting them through their cancer treatment journey. As a valued member of the City of Hope nursing team, you will play an instrumental role in enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients. Monday through Friday – 4/10 hour shifts. As a successful candidate, you will:

Assess Patients’ Health Status:

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions. Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment. Care Planning and Implementation:

Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs and treatment regimen. Implement nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes. Chemotherapy Administration:

Administer chemotherapy support and provide information to patients and their families regarding the treatment process, potential side effects, and self-care strategies. Offer emotional support to foster a caring environment. Coordination of Care:

Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and follow-up appointments. Management of Side Effects:

Assist patients in managing side effects and complications from treatment, addressing symptoms proactively. Quality Improvement:

Participate in initiatives to enhance outpatient infusion clinic care quality. Your qualifications should include: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing Three to five years of oncology-related experience Current California RN license Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association National certification (must obtain within three years and maintain thereafter) Note:
